About Donna Costello, MA, BA (Hons)
I founded the Luna Creative Academy after completing my Creative Writing Master’s degree in 2022. I wanted to provide an encouraging, supportive space where writers could come to fill the gaps in their knowledge and progress with their projects.
I have been coaching and mentoring writers for over a decade, helping them to develop their ideas and hone their manuscripts into publishable material, whether that has been online, through self-publishing or traditional channels.
In 2023 I began to send my work out for the first time and have been published in Upwork!Magazine, Flash Fiction North, A Collection of Short Stories Anthology and in the Paul Cave Prize Anthology.
I have chaired several peer to peer groups both in person and online. This included facilitating the exchange of feedback between writers, setting agendas and issuing prompts to generate fresh ideas.
I have been proofreading and editing writers for over a decade in short stories and novels.
As an experienced digital marketer with over a decade in the field, I have managed social media accounts for both large scale clients and small, local companies. I have also delivered training on the subject to charities, sole traders and businesses looking to expand their marketing.
My Approach
On top of obtaining a Masters in Creative Writing and Bachelors in Imaginative Writing & English Literature, I also have a Level 3 Certificate in Education and Training. Over the course of my career as a trainer developed an adaptable learning approach, tailoring my sessions to the needs of the individual. No two people learn the same and each course created on this ethos, I seek to help my clients move forward with their projects.
